March 6
By Teresa Trubilla, Resident of Woodbay |
During
March and April the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library is proud to be
hosting Expressions of Westchase, an exhibit featuring the artwork of
members of the Westchase Artist Society. This show will focus on various
interpretations of Westchase, the picturesque northwest Tampa
neighborhood whose architecture, people and natural beauty charm and
captivate residents and visitors.
The show’s opening reception will be held on Thursday, March 6, from
6-7:30 p.m. and will provide an opportunity to meet the artists, whose
works include painting, sculpture and photography. If you miss out on
the fun and excitement of opening night, Expressions of Westchase will
remain on display for your enjoyment during normal library hours through
the end of April.
The Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library is located at 11211 Countryway
Boulevard in Tampa, just a half mile north of the intersection of
Countryway Boulevard and W. Linebaugh Avenue.
The Westchase Artists Society is a group of visual artists interested in
furthering the art community in the Westchase area and throughout Tampa
Bay. Their goal is to nurture both artists and art lovers through
hosting art exhibits, providing art education, promoting art activities,
and creating an opportunity for local artists to come together and
share.
