Radcliffe Guideline Notice
By Patty Stewart, Westchase Association Manager |
At their March 11, 2008 meeting the Westchase Voting Members unanimously
approved the Radcliffe Guideline relating to mailboxes in that
neighborhood. The Westchase Community Association, however, was notified
by its legal counsel that the action did not meet the notice
requirements established by Westchase’s governing documents.
The Voting Members will therefore re-consider the proposed guideline at
the Voting Members Meeting on Tuesday, June 10, at 7 p.m. at the
Westchase Swim and Tennis Center. The Covenants, Conditions and
Restrictions (CCRs) require that notice is posted at least 14 days in
advance on the association’s Web site and also in World of Westchase.
At the January 23, 2008 Radcliffe Neighborhood Annual Meeting, at least
51 percent of the owners voted in favor of the proposed guideline for
mailboxes. At the Voting Members Meeting on June 10, 2008, an
affirmative vote of two-thirds of the Voting Members present is required
in order for the guideline to be approved, subject to any other
provisions in the CCRs.
A note to all Radcliffe residents: You may continue to purchase and
install your new mailboxes at this time. The Voting Members previously
approved the guideline but it simply must be noticed and ratified again
to meet the CCRs’ requirements.
