Stork Club Needs Help
By Chris Barrett, Publisher/Managing Editor

The Westchase Stork Club, which has historically played an important role in welcoming Westchase’s newest residents and insuring their birth announcements appear in WOW, needs help if it is to survive. Two residents are needed to receive calls about newborns and deliver the storks to the babies’ homes. One volunteer is needed to cover The Vineyards and West Park Village (except Village Green); another is needed to cover Brentford, The Bridges, Kingsford and Stamford. A chair is also needed from among the Stork Club volunteers to ensure articles are published seeking replacements for volunteers who can no longer serve the club.

Volunteers have their numbers published on page 40 and deliver storks and birth announcement forms to new parents. After a week, they retrieve the storks. The storks are provided by the Westchase Community Association.

The commitment will likely require less than two hours per month and represents a fun and easy way to help build a strong community in Westchase. If you can lend a hand, please contact the property manager’s office at 926-6404.
