DINKs Membership Surges Over Summer

Hit the Beach and Wazoo!

The summer has really been heating up for Westchase DINKs
(Dual Income No Kids). After an afternoon at Coquina Blue in
late July, the weather finally cooperated for our Shephard’s day
at the beach. As usual, the resort had a great band at their
backyard Tiki Deck. Shephard’s offers one of the most beautiful
locations in all of Tampa for a fun beach party atmosphere.
After Shephard’s resort, it was on to Wazoo! Wazoo is a yearly
fundraiser for the Lowry Park Zoo and they put on a great event
this year. They offered three different live bands in the
different tasting areas, which were all outstanding. The food
represented tastes from many of Tampa’s great restaurants and
they also had beer tasting from some local and worldwide |
All the DINKs enjoyed the animals, the food, the
drink and the camaraderie at the Wazoo fundraiser. |
| breweries. It was a great event, and we are glad we had a
good Westchase contingent to help fund the Lowry Park Zoo.

We have many plans for future events, so keep your calendars
handy. Thanks to those who have offered to help organize and who
have come up with some ideas for the group. We will be
scheduling a movie night and a couples’ trivia contest soon. As
the weather cools down in the fall, we will also get around to
more of the outdoor activities we have planned.
