Westchase Shout Outs
Congratulations to Joe and Sharon Heller, long-time residents of The Shires, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Aug. 13, with their four daughters and other family and friends. They want to thank all their Westchase friends and Westchase Senior Group members for the many cards and gifts!
Just a "way to go" to Greens resident Andy Masters as the two-year anniversary of owning Chico's Wood Fired Grill approaches. You've added some great things to the menu and made it a fun place for friends and families to meet. And those filet tacos are still the best in town! Looking forward to the next few years. -Love lots, Michelle, William, Michael and Megan Masters
The HCU Bulldogs finished in fifth place this year at the Challenge Sports National 3v3 Tournament. The event was held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando. Congratulations to players Andrew, Noah, Alex and Donovan for a well played tournament.
Congratulations to Bridges resident Emma Barrett and thanks to Westchase Elementary first grade teacher Megan Gallagher. After Emma reached 200 A.R. points for reading last school year, Ms. Gallagher said she’d take her for pizza at Cici’s. In August, Ms. Gallagher showed up to take her and brought along her good friend Janell Wheeler, who placed 13th in the recent American Idol competition. Emma enjoyed her super special treat!
Congratulations to Westchase artists Teresa Trubilla, Vanessa Montenegro, Olga Friedella, Jennifer Joyner, Mara Gessler and Judy Freeman, who created original works to benefit the Divine Equine III - Art for the Horse Lover exhibit and raised over $5,000 for Quantum Leap Farm, which helps heal disabled adults, especially veterans.
WOW wants your Shout Outs. Shout Outs are residents’ short messages saying congratulations, well-done, thank you or “hey, we have some good news.” Shout Outs should be no longer than 75 words and can be submitted by the fifteenth of the month to editor@westchasewow.com. Residents are welcome to submit high resolution photos with their shout out; photos should be attached as JPEG files rather than cut and pasted into the e-mail.
