Wizards Kick Off Fundraisers

With a new school year underway, the PTA kicks off several events and fundraisers that need a hand.

Please join us in the Multipurpose Room on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. for the year’s first PTA general meeting, when we will vote on our new budget.

If you are interested in volunteering this year, come to the volunteer breakfast scheduled for Friday, Sept. 3, at 8:30 a.m. This will be your opportunity to hear what exciting events are planned for the and how you can be a part of them.

Paula Bellino and Melodie Jaffe, co-chairs of the Ways and Means Committee, have announced several fundraisers to acquire equipment to strengthen our school’s academic environment. The Community Discount Card allows local businesses to offer year-round savings to the community for a $10 price. All proceeds go the PTA and the school. American Fundraising Services, Inc. offers gifts, wrapping paper and other products just in time for the holidays. In place of Casino Night, this spring the PTA will host The Taste of Westchase. This family event is planned to bring the Westchase community together while supporting our school.

Please remember to save Campbell’s Soup and Tyson labels along with any Box Tops for our September drive. In the fall participating Box Tops businesses often make a huge consumer push. If you happen to purchase a product with a Box Top or a peel-off label for bonus Box Tops, please start saving them. Twelve of the bonus box tops represent $10 for our school.

We're kicking off the fifth grade fundraiser on Sept. 1. Entertainment Books will be on sale until Sept. 13. This book offers great value, lots of coupons and discounts, so don't miss out! Also, the fifth grade parent meeting will be held on Sept. 9 at 8:15 a.m. in the MPR. Anyone interested in volunteering for fifth grade initiatives is invited to attend. You can still get your Westchase SpiritLine items. Simply download the order form from www.westchasepta.org and send it in with your child in an envelope marked "SpiritLine."

Last, please take a moment to join the PTA. Membership is only $5 per person. These funds are used to make our school a better place.
