Movies in the Park Return Feb. 10
Break out the lawn chairs! Movies in the Park are back! Between the months of February and May, Westchase will be hosting Movies in the Park once again on the second Friday of each month. This month’s movie is Zookeeper and will begin at 7 p.m. at Baybridge Park. March’s movie is Spiderman 3. April will feature Hop and May’s movie will be Dolphin Tale. We will also be hosting another Concert in the Park, whose date will be soon scheduled. It’s going to be another fun year for Westchase residents!
As a reminder, each owner’s annual assessment of $320 was due no later than Jan. 31. If you did not make your payment by that date, a late fee of $25 has been incurred. If you are not sure if you’ve paid your annual fee, please contact the association office as soon as possible and we will verify if your account has been paid. According to the association’s collection policy, failure to make your payment by the due date of Jan. 1 and no later than Jan. 31 incurs a $25 late fee; failure to make your payment by March 15 will cause your account to go to legal counsel, which incurs further fees. Please avoid this and make your payment as soon as possible. You can hand-deliver it to our office if desired.
In the months of November and December, we reminded residents to perform some standard property maintenance to their driveways, sidewalks and walkways. Notices were mailed to many owners informing them of the need to pressure clean these areas. Other residents with dirty roofs were also asked to have them cleaned. Now that holiday decorations are removed, please tend to these areas and help keep Westchase looking beautiful.
Our office has received numerous calls over the last few months about neighbors and their guests parking vehicles across sidewalks or on those portions of driveways that serve as sidewalks. This represents a hazard to pedestrians. We implore you to not park on or across sidewalks. Westchase is a community that has many fitness-minded residents and pet owners that like to get out with their family members and pets and take a nice, long stroll through their neighborhood. Parking across sidewalks creates a dangerous situation for them.
We also ask that you do not park your vehicles in the street; instead put them in your driveway or garage. School buses and children crossing the street have an extremely difficult time seeing other vehicles approaching when there are cars parked in the street. Please help keep our children and other vehicular traffic safe.
As always, we are here to serve Westchase residents. Please feel free to drop by our office or contact us at 926-6404 or via e-mail at manager@wcamanager.com.
