Nov. 19 Golf Tournament to Benefit Alonso Baseball

The Alonso High School baseball team will host a golf tournament fundraiser at the Westchase Golf Club on Sunday, Nov. 19.

It begins at 1 p.m. and all funds will go to the Alonso baseball program, which has won two state championships, four Saladino Tournament titles, five district titles and five region championships under Coach Landy Faedo.

“It’s a great afternoon of golf and fun,’’ Faedo said. “We are so appreciative of everyone who participates because it allows us to operate our program and provide everything that is needed.’’

The tournament is seeking golfers and sponsors as well as donations of food, drink and raffle prizes. All donations are tax deductible.

The cost for an individual golfer is $100, which includes greens/cart fees and a dinner banquet.

The top sponsorship opportunity is the Diamond Package for $2,500, which includes recognition as the official tournament sponsor, four golfers and a dinner banquet, two hole signs and recognition on all event signage, plus a sponsor banner on display at registration and for one year at Alonso’s baseball field.

Other sponsorship opportunities include Platinum ($1,000), Gold ($750), Silver ($500) and Bronze ($300).

There are sponsorships for tables at the registration area or around the course ($200), the beverage cart ($150) and specialty prizes ($125) such as longest drive, closest to the pin and a putting contest. A hole sign and recognition on all event signage is $100.
