Pack 46 Cub Scouts Enjoys Year’s First Camp Out
The Cub Scouts of Pack 46 celebrated their first family camp out of the year at Westgate River Ranch in Lake Wales! This was a step into the Wild West, where our little buckaroos enjoyed a live rodeo in the cowboy-themed park. Other activities such as airboat rides, fishing, swamp buggy rides, horseback rides and a petting zoo fulfilled the Cub Scouts’ thirst for adventure. Some even gave the trap-and-skeet range a try!
During their last pack meeting of 2011, Alexey Petrov from Westchase Impact Martial Arts wowed the Cubs with a demonstration of Taekwondo patterns. Mr. Petrov was even joined by some Cubs that are black belts. Our own Oliver De Meulder helped show the proper technique to use in self defense and breaking boards. Also, the Cubs presented the U.S. Marines with their collection for Toys for Tots!
