WOW’s Westchase Spring Egg Hunt April 14

Save the date for WOW’s latest community charitable event!

After a one-year hiatus after its previous organizer moved out of state, WOW is excited to bring the Westchase Spring Egg Hunt back to the community on Sunday, April 14.

Best of all, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Westchase Charitable Foundation (WCF), a group of dedicated volunteers who provide financial assistance to Tampa Bay families who have children battling a serious illness or who are facing a devastating family tragedy.

Residents from in and outside of Westchase are welcome to participate in the event!

The Westchase Spring Egg Hunt will be held from 1-4 p.m. at the Westchase Recreation Center, located at 9791 Westchase Dr. in The Bridges. As in previous years, the hunt starts at 1:15 p.m. For children’s safety and success, the hunt will be divided by ages.

“We’re excited to be bringing this successful, much loved family event back to the community,” said WOW Business Manager Leslie Blaze, its organizer. “With WOW’s backing, we hope that it becomes a Westchase tradition that will expand further in years to come.”

Still in the planning stage as this WOW went to print, the hunt will feature fun activities for the whole family. In addition to a visit from the Easter Bunny, who will be posing for photos with the kids, it will feature a DJ from Rockatar, face painting, a bounce house, crafts, games (including a dodgeball arena), food, beverages and more.

The cost is $10 for each child participating.

WOW is still looking for business sponsors to help defray the event’s costs and maximize the assistance provided to the WCF. For information how you can become a sponsor and participate with hundreds of families in this event, contact WOW Business Manager Leslie Blaze at Responsible students looking for volunteer hours may also reach out to Blaze for more information on assisting with the event.

WOW is a 501(c)3 charity whose annual events, including The Great West Chase and Thanksgiving Food Drive, and its publishing of WOW and WOW Northwest aim to build a sense of community while raising funds and contributions that are returned to the community in donations to schools, scholarships and worthwhile charities like the WCF.
