Westchase Singles Club
By Jim O’Brien, Founder & President

For a long time, the Westchase Singles Club (WSC) has been discussing a monthly Meet and Mingle event on a night other than our regular Friday. In February, we tried a Thursday at the Green Iguana but unfortunately the temperature dipped into the 50s, so it was not a good test. On March 27 we tried a Thursday night once again. This night was our first event held at the Renaissance International Plaza Hotel. We were the guest of the elegant Pelagia Trattoria Restaurant. All 200 brave members who ventured out on a Thursday night enjoyed the evening and the special attention afforded us by the Pelagia Trattoria staff. Special thanks to Director of Restaurants Christian Passath and congratulations to Colin Anderson, who won a $100 gift certificate to the restaurant.

The yearly calendar of events is in the process of development. It should be complete by the third week of May and events will show up on the WSC Web site as the dates are locked in.

I have had many requests from both members and non-members to reveal some of what was talked about at last year’s “Dating 911” event that was held at the Safety Harbor Spa. Beginning next month, we’ll talk a little about how single men and women perceive the dating scene and what they are actually looking for. I think you are going to be surprised.

To learn more about what’s happening at Westchase Singles Club, you can check out our calendar of events or look at photos of past events and cruises. Just go to www.westchasesinglesclub.com.

Are you single and would you like to meet a lot of wonderful other single people? Then join us by joining the Westchase Singles Club. You can do so by going to our Web Site and clicking on “How to Join.” Before entering the required data, please read the information page about Westchase Singles Club so you have a full understanding of how we notify you of coming events. There are no membership dues to join the WSC, so monthly Meet and Mingle events typically have a nominal admission fee of about $10. I look forward to greeting you at one of our coming events.
