Reclaimed Water Service Interrupted in Westchase

If you’re wondering if your reclaimed water system is broken, don’t fret. Reclaimed water service to approximately 600-700 Westchase homes has been interrupted. The outage is due to repairs to the reclaimed water main on Linebaugh Avenue across from Westchase Elementary School. According to staff with the Community Development District (CDD) reclaimed water service was spotty during last week and finally went off on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

When Cupid Strikes: Westchase Couples Share Their Stories

In honor of Valentine’s Day, several happily married Westchase couples graciously agreed to share the details on how Cupid’s arrow finally hit its mark. For Angela Getty, a Keswick Forest resident, her interest in husband Matthew was piqued even before she first laid eyes on him. It was the summer before Angela’s senior year of college in Cape Cod. Angela’s brother was working as a lifeguard that summer and shortly after renting a house with a fellow lifeguard he came to Angela with words of advice: “Stay away from Matthew Getty!”

The Amazing Race Returns to Westchase Feb. 26

It’s back! If you missed one of Westchase’s most entertaining events the past two years, be sure to register today! The Amazing Race for Life of Westchase will return to the Westchase Recreation Center on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. Come join the fun and hilarity! Your team of family and friends will compete with other Westchase teams to solve clues, visit nearby establishments and tackle challenges – all in an attempt to be named winner of the 2012 Amazing Race for Life.

Movies in the Park Return Feb. 10

Break out the lawn chairs! Movies in the Park are back! Between the months of February and May, Westchase will be hosting Movies in the Park once again on the second Friday of each month. This month’s movie is Zookeeper and will begin at 7 p.m. at Baybridge Park. March’s movie is Spiderman 3. April will feature Hop and May’s movie will be Dolphin Tale. We will also be hosting another Concert in the Park, whose date will be soon scheduled. It’s going to be another fun year for Westchase residents!
