The West Park Village Green will be the place to be in December as a group of holiday events will make folks holly and jolly.
Friday, Dec. 3: WOW Food Truck Rally, 5:30-8 p.m.
WOW is excited to announce the organization of its first food truck rally that we hope will become a regular event. Grab your blankets and chairs and join us on Dec. 3 from 5:30-8 p.m. for great food and fun music on the West Park Village green on Montague Street. As a DJ from Rockatar Music Academy plays popular tunes from the band stage, residents will be able to enjoy purchasing dinner from food trucks, including Essential Pizza, Got Lobstah, Wakamole and Westchase BBQ and then enjoying dessert from Disco Donuts and the Westchase Shaved Ice Truck.
Friday, Dec. 10: WCA’s Movies in the Park, 7 p.m.
As part of their Movie in the Park series, the Westchase Community Association (WCA) will host a screening of The Dog Who Saved the Holidays (PG). The Bannister family has a cute new addition, a mischievous puppy named Eve (voiced by Peyton List). Along with their other dog Zeus (Joey Lawrence), the two learn to love each other while foiling some foolish holiday thieves. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy the show. The WCA will provide freshly popped popcorn and bottle water will be provided, courtesy of Bivens Orthodontics.
Saturday, Dec. 11: Santa’s PreFlight Parade and Tree Lighting, 7-8:30 p.m.
The Westchase Charitable Foundation hosts its annual Santa’s PreFlight Parade through Westchase from 2-8 p.m. Santa will arrive at the West Park Village Belltower around 8 p.m. to officially light the holiday tree. Santa and his fans will be entertained by a DJ and Michael Levy, owner of Westchase Music Academy and Dawson Dance Academy students will perform. The event is a charitable event so be sure to bring an unwrapped toy to present to Santa to help him ensure less fortunate kids have a happy holiday too.
Saturdays, Dec. 4, 11 and 18: Snow on the West Park Village Green, 7 p.m.
The Westchase Community Development District’s artificial snow machine will once again be pumping out the white stuff for kids of all ages to enjoy. Simply stop by Montague Street just south of the bell tower on three Saturday evenings, Dec. 4, Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. for a flurry of fun!
