One of the long-term objectives of the Westchase Community Association’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is to develop a robust and effective Disaster Plan for our community. To that end, we will continue to engage and partner with Hillsborough County on our local implementation strategies.
In the meantime, we will seek and share information that we consider to be consistent with our mission to educate homeowners on disaster planning/preparation, and to share information on any resources that may assist them in such efforts.
This month, to assist Westchase homeowners with disaster preparations related to storm season, we are sharing
- The revised edition of the Hillsborough County Disaster Planning Guide (provided by the Office of County Commissioner Sandra Murman).
- Information regarding the TECO/GHL Equipment Leasing Program. Click here for information about the TECO leasing and click here for information about GHL’s leasing program. Please note that this is being provided to inform homeowners of one available option to “harden” their homes against potential natural disasters. It is important to state clearly that the GAC, the WCA or WOW do not endorse or have any financial interest in these products/services. Any and all arrangements for these services must be handled directly between the homeowner and the service provider(s) at their own discretion.
