Hillsborough County Schools Announce Spectator Policy for Fall Sports

The district recently expanded its Back to Athletics Plan to include procedures that will allow fans in the stands for fall sports.

In an effort to help control interactions and limit the spread of COVID-19, HCPS has altered spectator procedures to ensure safety precautions are followed. In order to limit the number of spectators to allow for proper social distancing, each participant (including players, cheerleaders, band members and coaching staff) will be able to designate four spectators to attend home games. If you want to attend a game, your name must be on that list each week by the deadline. For football, the deadline is the Wednesday before the game. For volleyball, the deadline is the day before the game. (Note: Student athletes/band members will receive instructions on how to fill out their spectator list; if not, please check with your child’s coach/band director.)

Once you have ensured your name is on the spectator list, you can purchase your e-ticket at You must have your name on the list and have purchased an e-ticket in order to be admitted to the game. Once you arrive, the following protocols will be in place:

• Masks are required when on HCPS property.
• Participant’s spectator pods (the four designated spectators) will be required to sit together.
• All home facilities (bleachers, stands, gyms) will be clearly marked to adhere to social distancing.
• All spectators will go through security measures at all events.

Athletic passes are also available to purchase this year and can be used when purchasing e-tickets. There are three types of passes:

• Student activity pass, which is an annual pass for a student.
• 10-game pass, which is also for students only.
• Booster Club Pass, which is an adult annual pass. (Note: You must purchase a Booster Club Membership for your respective school first.)

Passes can be purchased by visiting and scrolling to the ticketing information for your respective school. (Note: You will need to have a passcode form your Booster Club membership purchase in order to purchase a Booster Club Pass).

For those who are not quite ready to venture out into the stands, but would still like to view fall sports, HCPS has partnered with NFHS Network to stream each game live. Cameras have been installed at each school stadium and inside each gym so friends and family members who can’t make the game will not miss a single play. All football games and volleyball matches will be streamed. There are two options to watch: purchase an annual pass for $69 or a monthly pass for $9.99. To subscribe, visit, search for your school, subscribe and follow.
