Spring Farmers Markets Offer Bounty

Farmers markets are an entertaining way to spend a weekend morning while supporting local businesses, and there is still time to catch the spring market season.

• Following state, county and city health code requirements
• Placing a minimum of six feet between vendor tent set-ups
• Establishing hand sanitizing stations at the markets
• Requiring vendors to wear masks
• Limiting food samples to off-site prepackaged samples
• Working with vendors to reconfigure set-ups to limit customers in booth
• Encouraging market visitors to maintain six feet of social distance
• Encouraging market visitors to use face coverings

Corey Avenue Sunday Market
Location: Corey Avenue between Boca Gulf Boulevard, St. Pete Beach (Oct. 3-May 30)
Dates: Sundays, through May 2021
Hours: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The market features local vendors selling a wide variety of items including produce, plants, take home foods, eco-friendly and fair trade products and more.

Dunedin Downtown Market
Location: Pioneer Park
Dates: Fridays and Saturdays, through May 2021
Hours: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Fresh Market at Wiregrass
Location: Wiregrass Shopping Center, corner of State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Wesley Chapel
Dates: 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month year-round
Hours: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

This market features over 40 vendors selling everything from locally made candles and rum cakes to dog treats and fresh fruit.

Hyde Park Essentials Market
Location: Hyde Park Village
Dates: 1st Saturday of the month year-round
Hours: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Hyde Park Village has reimagined their Fresh Market with a socially distant spin. The Essentials Market is a monthly event featuring a selection of the vendors you love, with plenty of space to shop and stroll. Registration is required for a timed ticket. Seminole Heights Sunday Market
Location: Southern Brewing & Winery
Dates: 2nd Sunday of each month, year-round
Hour: 11 a.m.– 3 p.m.

This popular market has returned with some changes. Vendors and customers are required to wear a face mask at all times. To maximize mask wearing within the market, there will be no eating or drinking allowed. There are tables and chairs setup beside the stadium and on the east lawn as pleasant options for consuming your favorite foods.

Sweetwater Organic Community Farm Sunday Market
