It’s not too late to participate in the Westchase Thanksgiving Food drive on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. The annual food drive – the biggest community food drive in Tampa Bay – benefits Metropolitan Ministries. And we need your help to ensure hungry families and children across Tampa Bay have a happy Thanksgiving!
This year we welcome Fawn Ridge, whose homeowners and association will be participating in the food drive for the first time! They join the Westchase Community Association, Tree Tops, Mandolin, Windsor Place, Highland Park, West Hampton, Westchester and Waterchase, making it the biggest community food drive in Tampa Bay!
If you live in any of these communities, participation is simple. Simply take the food drive shopping list (linked below) with you to the supermarket. You can buy an entire meal to donate or a portion of one – whatever suits your budget. Just set it out at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21 and our volunteers will travel the listed neighborhoods to pick up your donations. If you live in our local apartments or in a neighborhood different than those listed, you can still participate. Simply bring your donations by the front of Westchase Elementary on Sunday, Nov. 21 between 12:45-2 p.m. We’ll have volunteers ready to load your donations on Metropolitan Ministries’ trucks.
The food drive shopping list can be found here: https://www.westchasewow.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Thanks-Food-Flyer-21-Final.pdf
